Simple things
Just a few pics today to show how Daddy's getting along better and how darn cute Summer and Chase still are! Frankie's now able to lift the babies up off of the ground and hold them in his arms. Sometimes it's the simpleist things that make such a wonderful difference!
He is doing so well, that is awesome he can pick them up now! Were you guys at Chuckie Cheese? I see Bob the Builder there :). You are right, the simple things do make a wonderful difference!
That is awesome!! He looks so happy with them. I'm tellin ya, if we all didn't know his history, I would have never been able to tell he has gone through so much, he looks great!!
I am a wife of 18 years and Mommy to four wonderful kids, Lexi (12), Skye (11) and twins Summer and Chase, born 2/16/07. I also have two grown step sons, Trey and Brad.
My husband, Frankie, was severely disabled after he ruptured a brain aneurysm while riding a motorcycle in Aug., 2006. At the time of his accident, I was two months pregnant with the twins. He spent 6.5 months in the hospital, 2 months in a coma, 3 months in ICU. He also broke almost every major bone in his body, including his neck and skull. I spent every day with him in the hospital and even though I was a high risk pregnancy, requiring 9 appointments a week during my last month, I carried full term to 38 weeks. Summer was 7.13 lbs and Chase 6.11 lbs.
Frankie came home from the hospital 1 week after they were born, the same week we moved. He was unable to do anything for himself at the time so it was like taking care of three newborns. He is still physically and mentally disabled but has made alot of progress and is a miracle in the making!
I don't work outside of the home, because quite frankly, that would be like going on vacation. There's a lot of work to be done right here!!

He is looking good Kristen! I bet the babies like him holding and touching them more now too :)
What great progress, it reminds me to not take the simple things for granted. And what a fun place to do it at!
